June 17th, 2008 New Deadline — Plus Prizes
Good news (we think!) for everyone who’s already sent in their entries (thank you) and those still thinking about participating. After a few semi-desperate e-mails, we’ve decided to move the deadline for entries forward to August 15 to make it possible for summer session students to enter. We’re looking forward to seeing your work!
Better yet, we have added an incentive: cash awards. Our jury will choose the best three photos and award prizes of $500, $250, and $100 to those photographers. Everyone who has already submitted is included, of course.*
Please help us spread the word about Silversalts08 and the new deadline and prizes. From what we have seen so far, this is going to be a great edition. We’d love to add as much work as possible from photographers across the country.
Our suggestion for the best way to beat the summer heat: stay in the darkroom!
*Awards depend on the total number of entries for 2008. If there are fewer than 200 entries, the prize amounts will be pro-rated.
